Card of the Week

The Death card is universally feared by those who are receiving a tarot reading. Its appearance can invoke a lot of anxiety and often feels like a bad omen, but what if I told you this is one of my favorite tarot cards?

The Death card very rarely, if ever, means the actual death of a person. Instead, it refers to an ending of a chapter, the death of this cycle in your life, a transformation of the old "you" into something GREATER. It requires releasing the past, the bad habits, the destructive mindsets that hold you back so that you can experience new growth and opportunities. This card invites you to let go of the things that no longer serve you and to not resist the expansion your soul is desperately trying to do.

I almost feel relieved when I see this card because it usually shows itself during trivial times where tension and stress are particularly high. It indicates a period of transition is underway and I simply need to relinquish control and trust that the things that no longer serve me are being laid to rest. I have learned resisting the death of old patterns, toxic relationships, conditioned behavior, and things alike have only hindered my growth. Now when the universe asks me, "you don't need this anymore, will you let it die?" I respond with a HECK YEAH✌
